Pulled chest muscle

Has anyone pulled their pectoral muscle before? I started month 2 of insanity yest & there were a lot of new moves. My chest hurt so bad yest on the right side I couldn't do anything. I pulled a back muscle when I started month one but it's when we moved so I think it was from trying to pick up a heavy box. This upsets me b/c I was scheduled to finised a few days before my 33rd birthday. NOt sure how many days I need to take off but it still hurts this am too. I've never been this prone to injury before

If you find yourself frequently getting injured, perhaps you need to plan more rest into your schedule. If you are working fatigued muscles, you may be losing your form causing yourself to move in unintended ways which can lead to injury.
Be sure to give yourself plenty of time to heal.
If you can, spend some time going from a heating pad to ice pack back and forth for about 10 minutes each.0 -

If your pulling muscles then you dont have control of your workout it has control of you. you need to lighten it up. if you work weights one way to tell if the weights are too heavy is do the "baby kiss". let the weight touch your body (depending on what exercise your doing) with the force it would take to kiss a baby. if your touching body hard or weight motion is shaky or jerky its too heavy. If doing calestinics always "leave a little in the tank". if you work yourself to exhaustion then it takes longer for heal time and bigger opportunity for injury0
