The BOSU Ball is the best core device I have ever used. Good luck!

@Whaleluvr, is it purely excess fat, or is it also lack of muscle tone? There are some killer ab or core exercises out there, my best tip would be focus on control and form. Never rush through them, if you move too fast you are letting momentum do some of the work. A slower motion, especially a pause in the hardest part of the motion, really makes your muscles work.

One I can suggest is a reverse crunch. Lie on your back on the floor, and raise your legs as close to straight up as you can. Then use your core muscles to lift and curl your upper body towards your legs in a crunch. Make sure you don't use your arms to pull or push yourself up though. You'll feel it in the lower abs in particular if you're doing it right. Make it as slow a contraction as you can bear, and aim for 20 reps. :)

There's others I can add if you like, but will wait to hear whether it's the toning you're after.

If it is really belly fat, try lowering your carbs to below 60 a day (20 net carbs if you can do it). Don't forget to try to increase protein to meet .7 g for every 1lb you weigh. Carbs are stored in the stomach area. Since kicking off induction again, the weight I have lost is in my stomach and right on top of my behind. Then try all these wonderful ab workouts for toning.

I actually have a crease under my bum again... Very exciting.. (and silly, but I love it!)

Thanx guys............. I will try some of these to see if it helps.........@slidingdown.............CRAP, that sounds like it will hurt, but i'm willing to give anything a try...............I'm new this, so I don't know the TECHNOLOGICAL terms........I have boobs, under my boobs, you could see a little indentation (which I believe is from the situps, and possibly leg lifts I have been doing) then A SOCCER BALL!!!!! I bought a measuring tape today..........so I am going to start measuring my soccer ball, to see if it DEFLATES within the next week or so!!!! If anybody would like to add me, and maybe drop a few tips here and there, I would appreciate it............thanx

Right now, I am just trying to move the scale down about 20-30 notches...........once I do that, i'm going to start trying to keep everything else in check............like protein, carbs, sodium, etc.............so far i'm doing pretty good.........50 days, down 12.6......I would hope for more, but I will take what I could get!!!!! As long as it goes down each week, i'm happy!!! And so far it has!!!

You don't need a low carb diet to remove belly fat. You need to lower your overall body fat %. Belly fat is mostly genetics. First place it goes on is the last place it comes off.

There are several exercises for the lower part of the abdomen :) Scissors - also helps lengthen the legs, Bicycle - killer on the thighs too, reverse crunch - already mentioned, and one other I can't remember the name...all are on your back. But this one, you criss cross left arm over right knee, back to the floor, right arm over left knee.

Pilates has a lot of these moves. They work your lower abdomen and legs.

Also, if you go to a gym, a lot of gyms have a weight machine that woks like a reverse crunch but adds weight resistance to it.

Good luck! Some women are built to hold on to the mommy pouch so don't kill yourself trying to make it flat :)
