Regular Water vs Carbonated Water?

Is drinking carbonated ("sparkling") water equally or less beneficial than regular water? Can it count in my 8-10 cups a day? Thanks!

I would think that if it doesn't have any calories or artifical sweeteners it would count. I love when we go to Europe and they want to know if you want water with gas or without.

I count sparkling water since I get tired of drinking still water and need the variety. I would say you just wouldn't count it if there is anything at all added to the water like caffeine or sweeteners (artificial or otherwise).0

As far as I can tell, the only difference (besides the bubbles) is that it's only slightly more acidic (not enough to be harmful). So, if that's how you get like to drink your water, it should be fine. It still hydrates the same.0

Great, thanks! I've stopped drinking soda all together, but sometimes I miss the fizz0
