Hi I am Ally . I am 5'4 weighing 164 People tell me I am not fat , they call me "very muscular" I feel obese though and truly hate my body. I currently run cross country and track & feild, I am a distance runner all year long, but i still cannot seem to shed the pounds. Using this site for support I would love to lose 44 lbs . I suffer depression, PTSD, Anxiety/mood disorder and EDNOS( a slight eating disorder). All I am asking for is support, as i lose the weight and climb to Happiness

Hi Ally, I've always been told I'm not fat, either, and very muscular. I am muscular but could stand to lose ATLEAST 30 pounds. I, too, have had depression and anxiety issues....on and off meds. Went off my meds last October and have put on a lot of weight since then...ugh. I can offer support and motivation...it definitely helps keep me motivated, too. And we both know the better we feel about ourself, the happier we are. Feel free to add me!0

Food is very important for mental health and can have a huge impact on mood. Supplement omega 3's for sure and try to make sure you have a lot of them in your diet (fish, flax, walnuts, greens). Take magnesium and a good B complex stress tab. Make sure you are getting enough carbs. Very important for mood. A well-balanced diet. A lot of vitamins and minerals are depleted when you are in a constant state of stress/depression. They are needed to manufacture the neurotransmitters that help to make you feel better.
Also do what you can to interrupt the stress cycle. Listen to music, laugh, dance, pray, they are all shown to reduce cortisol levels. Hang around people who help you to feel good about yourself.
You can do it. Have faith in yourself.0
