I am Single mother to a 15 month old baby boy! I used every excuse in the book!
I didn't get enough sleep.
I had a baby 5 months ago.
The baby is awake.
I need to clean house.
I need to blah blah blah excuse excuse.
I am going to cook this because it's fast.
I'm going to order pizza because it's late.

STOP!

Being unhealthy might be convenient now but it won't be later!
We should be not only telling our kids but showing them healthy is fun! Exercise is fun! Healthy foods are the best foods! We should start NOW not when they start getting over weight and lazy. Not when they scream because you are making them eat veggies before dessert! Not when they perfer unhealthy snacks over munching on some carrots!

We shouldn't only be healthy for us but them! We shouldn't be out of breath running after them at the play ground. We shouldn't sit our butts on the sofa rather than going outside to play and get sun!

Let's start now!

After 50 min morning work out its time to get baby in me in a shower! :)

I am changing the way I am thinking and acting as a mom.
I have been making excuses, but the biggest thing that has stopped me from exercising is that I feel like I am being selfish and then feel guilty if I take time away from my child to exercise.
But, how guilty am I going to feel when I won't take her swimming in the summer because I am to embarrassed of my body? How guilty am I going to feel if I get a disease (diabetes, heart attack, ect) that is expensive and causes me to miss out on life with her?
I have a treadmill in my house and there is no excuse for me not to use it after she falls asleep.
You are right, our kids deserve better. We owe it to them to take care of ourselves and set good examples.
I am done with the excuses and guilt.

    LOVE THIS!!!!

My daughter is just about to be 16 months and I`m with you!
    I'm tired of making excuses!
I can put the 20 mins of labor in to make a healthy meal instead of ordering out.
Tonight I worked out (dancing) and my daughter was dancing with me, I also got in a 30 min work out today while she was napping.
We do set the example, and a over weight person with excuses is not the example I want to set.
