Personally I am always updating my ipod with new songs so I don't get bored with working out. The better the song is the more I'm bouncing up and down on the elliptical and singing along... and pretty much pretending I'm out at a club. Which reminds me why I want to look better and lose weight - so its a double win.

Right now I love "Starships" by Nicki Minaj. An older one would be Kanye West's "Stronger"... and some really old school songs by Fat Man Scoop are awesome like "Be Faithful" he is always yelling c'mon! c'mon! c'mon!

What songs really get you going???

"Starships" is my current favorite workout song as well! It gets me going the extra mile. That and "Stronger" by Kelly Clarkson.

I am always mixing it up and will listen to about anything with a good beat, good lyrics, or unique while working out.

To really get me pumped up I like...
    Ruff Riderz Remix - DMX
    Crank That - Soulja Boy
    Lose Yourself - Eminem
Party Like a Rockstar - Shop Boyz
Sexy and I know It - LMFAO
    Fat Lip - Sum 41

But I'm known to even listen to country when working out....
Dirt Road Anthem - Jason Aldean
Chicken Fried - Zac Brown Band
All Summer Long - Kid Rock
Song of the South - Alabama
Mud on the Tires - Brad Paisley

I recently started listening to Mumford & Sons when I run, and have shaved 21 seconds off my pace! Therefore, they are my current favorite.

When I run, I try and keep my feet moving around 170 steps a minute, so I've made a playlist of songs between 168 and 172 beats per minute. There's a lot of Chuck Berry and some Little Richard, Hendrix and CCR. The most modern selections:

    "Salvation" by the Cranberries
    "Sabotage" by the Beastie Boys
    "Bodysnatchers" by Radiohead
    "Basket Case" by Green Day

Usually my ipod is set on random and I will listen to anything that comes up (occasionally skipping a song) but if I need a push. . .

    Brick House by The Commodores
    So What by Pink
I Got a Feelin' by Black Eyed Peas
Let's Get it Started by the Black Eyed Peas
Sexy and I Know it by LMAFO
    Party Rock Anthem by LMAFO
    Bulletproof by La Roux

And a few others depending on my mood.
