NOOOOO! When I was a kid I wrote Davey Jones a letter telling him how much I loved him. Of course, when I went to look for a stamp my mom told me that they Monkee's had broken up. I was devastated.

Aww man!!! He was only 66! When I was a teenager, every girl had a crush on Davy Jones. I had his picture plastered all over my bedroom walls. How sad!

    I love the monkees.

    RIP :flowerforyou:
  • If not for Davy Jones, there would be no David Bowie. Well, umm, at least the name part. And indisputably, one of the greatest tambourine players of all time (although Linda McCartney would give him a run for his money).

So so sad. I was born just down the road from where he was born. RIP Manchester lad Davy - you'll be missed.

I'm just so saddened by this. I saw The Monkees for the first time in 1986, and just saw them for the last time this past July 2011 on their 45th anniversary tour. RIP Davy.

That's sad. I just watched him a couple of nights ago on the Brady Bunch Movie. So many of my females classmates swooned over him.

Love that movie! And yeah, my mom was pretty sad, one of her first crushes.

So sad, I really couldn't have imagined it, he seemed so healthy. I always had a crush on him in his younger years.

He was my very first celebrity crush. I was like 4 years old and I told my mom over and over again "I'm gonna marry him someday."
