I decided october 3rd 2011 that I wanted but mostly needed to lose weight...so I stepped on the scale...& it wasn't pretty my thought was confirmed...im 6'2 & I weighed 317lbs...I was devestated but I knew I had to do somthing about it. I started out just cutting way back...eating just a lil healthier & smaller portion. I didn't even start exercising because I kne I had to drop some weight first I knew I wouldn't be able to do much.
I did pretty good even seen some results...I felt so great about myself...its one of the hardest things I think I have ever done in my life...4 yrs ago I suffered from a very serious eating disorder...I live with it everyday, its very difficult...I. ack then dropped 160lbs in a lil over 5 months...I had just stopped eating & did nothing but exercise...its a daily struggle even now.
But january 10th 2012 I decided it was time to do a lil more...from oct 3rd 2011 to jan 10th 2012 I had already dropped 42bs...I knew I needed to start excercising...so I did & I heard about MFP. Wow! I love counting my calories & exercising...I log everything...my calories & my exercising...it is amazing the progress I have made...so far I am down a total of 68lbs!
I've learnec throughout my "diet" as most call it, but I call it my lifestyle change because its no longer a diet for me...this is somthing I will continue for the rest of my life...set your goals small...5 or 10lbs at a time, it is much more capable of reaching a 5lb goal rather than saying I have 50 lbs still to go! & another thing I have learned is when I do not feel like exercising that is when I get up & push myself & in the end it is a wonderful feeling! Like I have said earlier, this is one of the hardest things I have ever done in y entire life, but it is so rewarding...I feel so much better & I have way more energy than I ever had in my life...its an awesome feeling for someone to ask u what are you doing to lose weight u look fantastic! All I can say its a lifestyle change & the best change u could ever make!
I continue to cou t my calories & exercise on a daily basis...I feel complete & healthy & super happy
since october 3, 2011, I have dropped 68lbs...I currently weigh 249 lbs
my final goal is only 29lbs away but I don't look at it that way! I just keep eating my healthy foods & exercise & I love seeing the change, whether I get to my goal next month or 3 months for now doesn't matter to me, it only matters how great I am feeling! & I couldn't do this withouth the support of my family, friends & of course MFP! I do not know where I would be without u all! Please feel free to add me! & whenever I figure out how to post pics I sure will
thanks for taking the tie to hear a lil bit of my story
