Reward ourselves when we meet short term goals! (Group idea?

I've decided that if I can stick to my caloric goal for 5 weeks, I will reward myself with something that I would not normally treat myself to. I've never had a massage, I could never feel good about the amount of money they cost (I am a college student trying to spend as little as possible). But if I could dedicate myself to staying under my caloric limit for as long as 5 weeks (minus 5-10 pounds for me), I think I can totally justify paying for a massage!
Would anyone else be interested in taking up the same goal? If so, I was thinking I'd start a group so we can check in, discuss how we're coming along, seek motivational help if we're struggling, etc.
The general goal would be to reach 35 days straight (or whatever number of days you prefer). If you go over your caloric limit one day, you start back at "0 days" so as to encourage full dedication to taking ourselves seriously, no cutting corners or sneaking in exceptions (like I find myself doing.) And then follow up the first massage with another 35 day challenge.
Who's interested?

Sweet! We should have a spa day or something, when we get to 35 days.0

This is such a great idea!! I have learned that rewarding myself with any kind of food reward only sets me back as I cannot only cheat one day without it going into another day, then another and so on....
Once I hit 25 pounds, I'm getting brand new Nike Shox sneakers...
At every 25 pound off increment, I will treat myself with a non-food reward.0 -
I like this idea, although does it count if people are doing these "cheat" days? and is that staying under calories set by MFP?
Also is it just sticking to a calorie limit? or just setting a goal and sticking to it?
Always nice to have something to look forward to though :-D0 -

Great idea - I am in! If I maintain "clean" eating plan and workout schedule for a month, which puts me right on April 1st - I am getting a massage that day and actually a spa half day! Yes!0

Yes, my reward is when I hit 25lbs I'm going to buy myself a pair of Lulu Lemon yoga pants and when I hit 50 lbs I'm going to buy myself a Lulu Lemon sweater.0

Yeah I hate the idea of rewarding myself with food out of my plan- it makes the plan seem filled with yucky food when it really isn't! So something like a massage, getting hair done, or a new sweater from J Crew sounds like a pretty bomb idea0

Great idea. I'm up for any excuse to reward myself lol. And I'll be about 3 lbs off my goal in 35 days. I'll probably be getting some nice jeans.0
