hello. i am having real trouble with the 30 day shred. i completed couch to 5k and have started bridge to 10k. in addition to the couch to 5k i was doing hill intervals for an hour after the run. i decided to drop the hills and do the bridge to 10k with the 30 day shred...both programs take about 6 weeks.

i did the 30 day shred yesterday. i immediately started to feel ill while i did it. about 10-15 minutes in i threw up. i thought it was a food issue, that i had eaten too soon before working out...but i felt fine for the 40 minute run. i finished the 30 day shred anyways yesterday and decided i would do it today...must be food after all. today i ate exactly what i should for a workout. the same thing i eat every day that i worked out during couch to 5k and i never threw up then. i immediately started to feel ill, about 10 minutes in i threw up. i did not do bridge to 10k workout before- all i did was 30 day shred.

i don't understand why this would be happening. i mean how can i do all that running without a problem, but a 20 minute video has me throwing up? what should i do? i was thinking of trying another video to see if it has a similar effect....

  • I have had this problem with the 30 day shred if I try to do it first thing in the morning, or after a strenuous time at the gym. For me, I think it's blood sugar/dehydration issues. Have you tried eating something small and making sure you're hydrated?

yes i tried that. when i started couch to 5k i had a problem where i didn't eat enough and got ill. so now i have a greek yogurt and a banana about an hour before i workout. i drink water all day and have not had any problems with hydration.

ahhhh so you are saying that it could be a normal adjustment to ratcheting up the intensity.....
  • I also had this problem. I never threw up - but I felt completely nauseous for about the first three days following the workout. Hopefully it will pass for you!
