Ok so i did the first 30 days of mfp at 1200 calories a day and lost 8 lbs, but felt edgy. I increased calories to 1350 a day and in about 6 days i have gain 3 ponds ???? What is going on.

Water weight can fluctuate by +/- 5# in a single 24 hr period. Don't stress it.
You would have to eat 10,500 cals over maintenance to gain 3# (3500 x 3).
Breathe, and keep doing what you're doing!0 -
Oh man Your Awesome !!! Thanks. I literally just started crying i dont want to get discouraged.0

Do not be discouraged... Weight can fluctuate and there are so many reasons we do not have enough space to write them all.. just keep going and you will see the results you want. You may have to tweak your MFP to match your life and once you do that VIOLA! Success... You are doing great... Keep Going....0

Thanks for your post! I just started 3 days ago and was doing good but had a cheeseburger and beer tonight so that totally threw me off the fat content and the calories! I feel like I have to get on the treadmill more now! This is a great APP though!0

If you ate a lot of high sodium foods it can make you retain water. It can even be as high as 5% of your body weight. If you have been eating a lotof sodium I think you hav efound your culprit. Drink lots of water and limit sodium and you may drop many pounds in a day! Woohoo! Keep up the great work!0

completely agree! Idk how much cardio and/or strength training your doing but it will certainly affect weight! Also weighing too much was my problem.....had to start weighing only once a week....daily will KILL YOU!!!!!0

I found that right after my cycle I would really drop weight quickly, but before it was either a gain or a plateau. I stuck with it and it worked.0

I have always heard to weigh yourself at the same time. The best is right after you wake up and AFTER the morning liquid relief. This gives your body all night to regulate the sodium as much as it can and have an empty stomach. It is the best way to get an accurate weigh-in.0
