Does anyone else have days where they just totally blow their calories. I did it today. Finished my day with a burger and chips from the fish and chip store.
Im so annoyed with myself right now.

Me too! I ate everything in sight today! lol
Tomorrow is a fresh start though.0 -
Yep. Been way over by 400-500 calories in a day. As long as I don't do it very often, I won't beat myself up for it. Also, as long as your weekly calorie count is good all you're doing is slowing down your weight loss a little. Don't let one day stop you.0

Hi! yes it happened to me a lot before i took this seriously. You didn´t blow it, you can not ruin a whole week of healthy eating with a burger, don´t be hard on yourself.
This is a long journey, if you go over your limits often,it will take a lot longer to reach your goal, that all that will happen. If you prefer slow but steady, that's your choice, and there´s no point regretting now bout yesterdays choices, brand new day today xx0 -
You're human! Happens to me more than I would like! I get so pissed at myself and wonder why I do the things I do, or eat the things I eat I mean. My willpower is not always 100% but I'm not gonna beat myself up about it too much. Tomorrow is a new day!0

I do it many times. For the last 3 months, my weakness has been any sweets (anything from cookies to Haagan Dazs).
I also try to remember that I need to just start fresh the next day; and try to forgive myself and move on. But when I step on the scale or buton up my pants; its hard not to feel guilty.
@ Ohtobe2 - don't feel too bad. At least you didn't get the shake with that burger.
@ Saralhm - well put.0 -
Yeah I went over by 1400 yesterday. Hating myself today.0

Last Saturday I ate my body weight in food and drank a weeks calorie intake in Vodka , all in the name of ' blow it I'm not a machine' . I had a day and night to remember and got back on the plan the next day. You have got to blow it from time to time, nobody's perfect, so don't feel bad , just get back on it and start afresh xx0

Yeah, everyone does. Congratulations, you're human. No get over it As long as you make most days good days then you will succeed in the long run.0 -

LOL. The way you worded it just cracked me up. But your attitude is right on. "So what, keep going." Love it!0 -
I think everyone has days when they blow it. If I start eating bad foods in the morning it just goes down hill from there.
But it is worth and it only happens once every so often.0 -
Yep, happened to me tonight. Chinese takeaways - didn't have any fried rice and still managed 900 calories for dinner. That's nearly my whole days allowance (1200.)0

Been away from MFP..for a few days...starting over.. again0

For the last 8 days have eaten between 2500-4000 calories A DAY0

Heading over for sure today but too bad. It's unusual for me so I know it will be ok as long as it stays rare. And it's still not as bad as my previous behaviours!0

Definitely blew it on Tuesday - I had 500+ calories over and like 100 carbs over. Sodium was over too, and likely fat and sugars but I decided not to stress about it too much and haven't looked back at it since. I started over the next day and moved on.
If I've had a crazy day and I just want some fast food, as long as I'm not getting it for the third time that week, I'm going to cut myself some slack and enjoy. I watch my calories for the week and readjust as needed. I know that I will *always* be under on Saturdays when I work a 16 hour shift, so going over during the week isn't such a bad thing for me.
It's okay! As everyone else has said, we're only human and nothing wrong with a sweet dessert or greasy burger every now and then.0 -
I ate half a cheesecake last night and managed to double my calories for the day. It happens but hopefully it won't happen again soon now it's out of my system!0

I must say, it's always going to be an uphill battle no matter where you are at or how far you have come. I have lost over 105lbs, but have been struggling to lose the last 55lbs I would like to lose. I'll do good for 7-8 days then have several bad days, especially with Ben & Jerry's ice cream, a very big downfall for me again! I can use every excuse in the book, I'm depressed or I'm worried about my child custody battle in court coming up in April, or anything else I so choose, but I have realized that using excuses, for me anyway, doesn't make my situation any better. During this last 15 months on this journey, there have been two different times where I was not eating healthy as I wanted too. I overate, but still tried to walk most days. I stayed the same and luckily didn't gain but 6lbs. This time, it is much harder and I am still struggling. It can be very frustrating as i know what I want and where I want to be, but fact of the matter is, learning how to handle these set backs and not giving up completely. It takes time to dismiss bad habits, even if you do well and lose a bunch of weight like myself! Many tend to go back to their old ways and gain it all back. I always try to remember how I felt weighing over 300lbs and how I feel about myself now, do i really want to go back to that?! Each day is a constant struggle and we will have set backs, BUT we must get up everyday and keep trying, NEVER giving up completely! I have had many days where I eat over 4000 calories and No, my motivation hasn't been very good lately, not like it was in the beginning of my journey, but I still keep getting up everyday, and I keep trying again no matter what! I feel your pain and I know many others do as well, but hang in there...It's so worth it! Right? It doesn't matter how long it takes to get there as long as you get there eventually! I can see why it may take many people 3 years to lose a lot of weight, because set backs happen. We must forgive ourselves and move on and keep going...Refocus. Where there is a will, there is a way! I needed this post today....Thank you! I have to keep reminding myself of the very things I write about here on these post, we are not alone in our triumps or downfalls!0

Everyone has to have a cheat day lol Even Dr. Oz recommends it!! :-) As long as you start fresh and keep on truckin you'll be fine! Last week I went over my calories every day by 200 because I was starving and I actually lost 3 lbs...0
