Which DVD set do you prefer/think works best? I want to start a new workout routine for March because I am bored of the treadmill, just don't know what to choose. Insanity, P90x, TurboFire? Or is there another one that is better?

Ive done workouts from all of them. On a purely fun standpoint on would go with Turbofire!0

I've done P90X and Insanity. If I had to choose one, I'd say Insanity. It was the hardest workout I have every done, but it was Amazing!!0
-
I am doing Insanity and love it! P90x seems long to me thinking about Turbomfire for next winter, I like to jog when it gets nicer out.0
-
im startiing insanity the 18th, ive heard its much better0

I like Insanity. I never finished it though with only 2 weeks left. I want to start it over again one day. I tried TurboFire and it looked hard and I wasn't able to keep up. I think I need to spend more time and just get used to it. As for P90X, I haven't tried it yet.0

Restart Insanity and finish it. You'll thank me later....0 -
P90x = More weight training, less emphasis on cardio
Turbofire= Lots more cardio and High Intensity interval Training (Great for shedding pounds)
Insanity =Much more plyometric, but also a cardio BLAST.
I use P90x and turbofire together.
What are your goals for working out?0 -
p90x AND turbofire!!! together. if you're looking for something fun and effective, but not a butt kicker right out of the gate ;-) use p90x for the resistance training and TF for cardio!!0

TurboFire is fun and can be addicting!0
-
It depends on what you want from the workout. I have both P90X and Turbofire and I prefer P90x. TurboFire was fun for a few weeks but I just could not finish it because I got bored from too much cardio.
I like P90X better because I enjoy the strength routines. For cardio days, I do the Plyo that comes with P90X but I use some of my faves from Turbofire for the other days.
I also have Brazilian Butt Lift and that gives you the best leg workout you can ever ask for.0 -
I LOVE turbofire!! I'm on week 5 and it's so addictive. It's lots of cardio & there's some choreography to learn, but it's easy to catch on. I do think it depends on what you're looking for and what kind of workout you enjoy best.0

If you don't have a lot of weight to lose, I would do P90X to get sculpted.0

Thanks! I am pretty toned already and have muscle from doing sports my whole life so I am looking for more of a cardio video with some toning because I'm looking to drop pounds. It seems P90x isn't the one for me...0

I am doing TurboFire right now, and it's a blast!
I've done INSANITY, and it's well INSANE, but so amazing0 -

WOW! Congrats on you're weight loss! That is just amazinggg. Which set did you see better results with?0 -
I think you will LOVE TuroFire ... especially if you're toned & muscular from sport. P90X was great and the changes I saw were amazing (an this is without having graduated!)0

My husband does P90x, and he loves it. As for me.. im not into lifting right now.. im working on losing and doing alot of cardio. I do a few of his videos Kenpo X is my fav, and I get a great workout out of it... Never tried the others..0

I was going to say Les Mills Pump until I saw this! I'm doing that one right now and LOVE it!
So this is easy then...Insanity if you want a more athletic program and Turbo Fire if you like it a little more "dancey". Also, Turbo Fire has a lot of different LENGTH workouts in it...all the way from 15 minutes to and hour (I believe that's the longest...haven't done it in a while).0 -
thanks for this guys! i was literally trying to find out which ones better and i see i have my answer! i may not be able to afford the gym in the summer so was thinking of doing these to carry on shedding!0

definitely P90X, it covers it all0

It depends on your goals and preference to a particular type of workout.
Insanity is lots of cardio and body weight resistance.
P90X is lots of weight/band/body resistance training with cardio, yoga and kempo
TurboFire is, as someone else already suggested, a HIT program.
I have been a huge fan of P90X myself, dabbled in Insanity, but too much cardio for my preference. Never tried TurboFire personally, but know several that have and all enjoy it's fast paced style of routines.
I you are looking for an accountability partner, feel free to hit me up and I'd glad to plug you into a group that is already going through the program and provide positive feedback and support.0 -
My 18 year old daughter talked me into INSANITY about this time last year. I had been working out with only Leslie Sansone up to that point. Insanity helped me tone....lost quite a few inches, not too many lbs...but my endurance went through the roof. We only missed one day out of the 60 day challenge which was also an incredible NSV for me. I do love INSANITY but at nearing 45 some of the jumping seems a little rough on me plus my daughter took our program to college with her. I replaced it with TURBOFIRE .....love LOVE it once I got the moves down! It's like a dance party! I wear my Polar FT7 and never burn less than 100 calories every 10 minutes....the workouts are anywhere from 20 - 60 minutes. I have not completed TURBOFIRE as a program...but pick a workout that fits my schedule for the day....my weight has plateaued for a couple months the whole up & down the same two lbs.....I added Jillian Michaels 30 day shred (currently on Level 2 and about 20 days in) and the scales are beginning to move! Don't know much about P90X except that when my daughter and I picked INSANITY we were picking btw that and INSANITY and we thought it looked like you needed extra equipment. TURBOFIRE does include a tone/strength dvd and comes with resistance bands which is a nice workout too.0

I love beach body videos even tried brazil butt lift and yes it works! If your not burning calories from the workout - you will be burning them from laughing and enjoying the adorable Brazilian Host!

My vote is for Insanity -- especially if you are looking for cardio! I just started it yesterday. IT IS INSANE but boy do you move your butt!!!0

What's the brazillian butt lift one? How long is it? Someone else mentioned it, too....0 -
It depends on what you are into. I've done them all, (currently Insanity) P90x is good if you like weight lifting. Insanity is good for High Intensity Cardio drills. Turbofire is good for dance kickboxing. Personally, I prefer TurboFire. However, they ALL work great! Best of luck to you! Feel free to add me!0

I did TurboFire and had GREAT results! I love that workout! I am obsessed. But I decided to change it up a little and I will start Insanity Monday. I have heard so many great things about it. I'm excited to try!0

What are you goals?0

I ended up purchasing TurboFire. I am pretty toned for the most part but would like toning incorporated. For the most part I want to drop weight...0
