Soft foods after dental work

I had to have a tooth extracted yesterday and can't have hard, crunchy foods for a couple days. I also have to stay away from hot (in temperature) foods and spicy foods that could burn the wound. Sadly, hot, spicy and crunchy foods are my favorites.

Besides lukewarm soup and Slimfast, help me with ideas for soft, nutritious foods that will still get me to my calorie goal and won't complicate my poor wounded gums.

Too bad I can't just eat ice cream all day. Ha!

Smoothies would be a great option for you: blend some yogurt and fruit and veg. It's a drinkable meal in a glass!

I feel your pain-literally! Had a tooth extracted on Tuesday! I did yorurt, soft bananas, more yogurt etc. My other complaint, besides only being able to eat soft foods, is that I didn't feel able to do any cardio exercise...Back at it today! Good luck to you on recovering!

Thanks folks. I guess my main concern is getting FILLING food with some good nutirtional value. I'm having oatmeal for breakfast, but lunch and dinner seems a little more tricky.
