GREAT dinner.

Well I just had to post I'm really happy with myself for the dinner I made tonight.
Chicken Fajitas.... at 300 calories a fajita.
Wheat tortillas (96% fat free!)
boneless, skinless chicken with a bit of oil to cook it, water and some seasonings.
Refried beans (I looked at the fat free kind... turns out there's no calorie difference, you lose fiber, and there are only 2 grams of fat per serving anyway...)
Fat free sour cream
Fat free cheddar cheese (all natural, if that's possible)
and some crunchy romaine lettuce.
Of course for the less picky eaters I added sauteed onions and peppers, tomatoes, rice, and regular flour tortillas, and regular cheese and sour cream, so theirs was a bit more.
^_^ I'm proud of myself. I'm always complaining that my parents are part of the problem, not planning meals until the last minute and then ending up with pizza or fast food. Today I accepted no excuses! At 10 am I got up and said, "whats for dinner?" Got the food out and went shopping for the things we needed (like those healthy alternatives they always seem to forget), and started cooking in time to have everything finished when my mom walked in the door from work. ^_^
I might just make it this time.

That's awesome! Good for you!! : )
I find that planning ahead is the key for me too. I try to plan meals a few days ahead of time and enter all my new foods in to the database if they aren't already there after I've come home from grocery shopping. I found a recipe analyzer that will tell you how many calories are in your favourite recipes, too!
I usually have 2 days' worth of menus already entered on this site and I just follow what I've already planned out for myself when I wake up in the morning. Soooooooo easy to stay on track that way! Especially when you eat the same snacks etc. all the time ... it's already in the database so all you have to do is click on it.
I love this site. I lost 15 pounds in one month! I used to keep a calorie counting journal but doing it on the computer is so much easier and such a time saver.
I plan my exercise ahead of time too. I schedule it in the day before and then the next day I feel like it's part of my to do list. : )
You're doing great!
Cheers!0
