Any advice here? I'm a complete novice on what supplements would help me the most. I want my gym time & nurtrition to really count. I've Googled & searched online but I'm as confused as ever. What specific kinds of supplements would you recommend to me & why?
I'm 5'9" & 32 years old. Currently on Body For Life program. Currently taking GNC be hot vita pak pre work out & Edge Whey Shakes post work out. Also taking a multi & occasional Benefiber. I have 33 more lbs to lose before I'm at goal weight. Thanks!

I have been doing the same thing...researching supplements that would benefit me in my weighloss journey. Somethings that I have been currently loving are organic coconut oil, chia seeds, choc. whey protein powder from gnc, my multi vitamin for the best company ever, natures plus, and also spirillina. I usually make a smoothie in the morning for breakfast with the chia seeds, prot. powder, a banana, organic peanut butter, coconut oil, cocoa powder, and unsweetened almond milk, and its delicious...sometimes I will throw some almonds and yougurt in there as well. Look up the benefits of all this stuff...it is seriously awesome if you are trying to improve your health. As far as weight loss supplements, all of these would help, but of course there is always a million other things that are out there that claim to help. I honestly don't know much more than this, but twhat I am currently taking seems to help me. I have lost 44 lbs since last year, after having my baby. I have been thinking about trying something called Keto 7....i got some info about it from the DR. OZ show on TV. Anyhoo, hope this helps...a lot of weight lifting and gaining benefits and results really comes from eating right in my opinion. You have to look at food as fuel, so getting ENOUGH calories of GOOD food is so important. I think too often women who are trying to get in shape and loose weight and gain muscle do not eat enough calories.0

I use Isopure Zero Carb Protein Powders, cheapest at supplementwarehouse.com (it costs way more at GNC!)
It's no carbs, many flavors, and I drink it with original almond milk (60 cals) for the carbs to help my body metabolize the protein. Remember to drink the shake within 30-60 minutes of lifting weights.

Definitely look into a pre-workout supplement- it'll give you an extreme energy boost, help you lift heavier and your workouts will be more intense, and also serve as an appetite suppressant. Of course this varies with each individual. Some good pre-workout supps would be:
