I monitored my HR while lifting and it went up to 130-140 during heavy lifts but dropped down to 110-120 during rests.... but I don't think that's a lot over bmr to.warrant counting it towards my caloric expenditure... do you guys?

As strength training in cardio. I still log it under strength training too. When you go to exercise database in MFP and enter your weight and exercise time, it approximately tells you how many calories burnt, if your HRM tell you calories burnt, even better.0

My understanding is that HR during weight lifting can't be used to determine calorie burn.
I log my strength training using MFP's numbers. They are really low and I know I worked hard so I am comfortable that I am not overlogging. Plus right now I am not following MFP calories anyway.0
