I was on mainatance for 2 weeks around 2000cals & ended up gaining weight
Because of previous unhealthy dieting anyway the weight gain eventually evened out
So I thought it was time to lower my intake.. Its been almost a week that I've been on 1550-1600 cals
An am slowly gaining. ?? What the heck I thought I would be losing?
I'm set to 1/2 lb per week if that helps..
My diary is currently closed but I've definitely have been eating healthier
So what's the deal?
Please help! Really discouraging

Check your body fat. Could be water retention not fat.0

how long were you eating at maintenance? maybe you didn't give it enough time--> sometimes people are too fast to decrease and the body still reacts with the "Starvation response" and essentially adjusts the metabolism to prepare for what is perceived to be ANOTHER famine.0

remember to look on the brighter side (like you said!) It seems like you have been posting your frustration every day. You have to give things time. Your body might be at a plateau - it happens. Just keep being healthy and following your plan. If you are super concerned, go talk to a dietician.0
