Cheese: laughing cow spreadable cheese... lots of flavors, useful for sandwiches, or melting into a sauce. Good on ryvita!

Beans: black beans for soup or with rice and salsa, chickpeas to make hummus, any canned beans for chili

rice: brown rice is good if you like the chewy texture

Sauce: how about brown/dijon mustard (yum!) or maybe a sugar-free BBQ sauce (sorry I don't have a brand in mind)

    Oh, thank you.

every time I try to eat healthy, I limit myself to veggies and lean meat and get scared of eating anything else.

I saw everyone's recipes on here and figured there must be something else I can eat beside the leanest of foods

and besides, I'm not getting enough calories in a day. Time to rev it up a little!!

CHEESE-mini babybel cheese (individually packaged s good for snacking!)
RICE- I like brown rice but you could even venture out and try quinoa (cooks the same as rice in rice cooker) I've recently tried it and LOVE it! Very versatile & most stores now carry it. Oh- or couscous is good too!
BEANS- gotta love black beans! I also just bought white beans because I saw a good recipe for a smashed white bean sandwich with veggies that sounded good. Gonna try it this week!

    -Hope those help ;)

I agree with what was already posted. We like Basmati brown rice the best for a brown rice - so yummy. I even use leftover rice to make a "rice pudding" type thing for breakfast some days which is super yummy!

Cheese: Any reduced fat or part skim shredded cheese, laughing cow wedges, reduced fat cream cheese whipped, light string cheese

Beans: I always get vegetarian baked beans for added fiber if I get them, regular veggie beans, fat free refried beans taste the same to me, black beans for salads and fillers in many dishes

Rice: I always get Uncle Beans long grain whole grain rice
