5 hour energy shots

Does anyone know if 5 hour energy shots are bad for you if you take them on a regular basis? I have a very whacky work/family/school schedule (most days up i'm up for 18 or longer) and yes, these shots give me the energy I need but people tell me that it's bad for you. Not to mention that they help curb my appitite too, which is another reason why I take them. Thoughts/knowledge/opinions???

Not sure, but I find that a bottle of B12 is cheaper and does the same thing.0

Ditto Leigh. If you look at the ingredients, it just b vitamins, niacin, and a little caffeine. You could get yourself a month's supply of of vitamins and coffee for the same price as a four pack of the 5 hour energy.0

i buy them at the dollar tree. i took one yesterday around noon and was up until 1am. I am not sure how much caffeine is good for you, there is like 100mg of caffeine.
I just go to 7-11, pick up a cheap coffee, and load my purse down with their little 50mg one shot caffeine things0 -

no, they're mostly just B vitamins and some minerals.0 -
Ok, i went and picked up a case at my local Sam's Club. Turns out I got a really good deal per bottle on it. 24 pack for 35 bucks.. comes out to around $1.50 a bottle! Definately beats buying it at 7-11 for $3-$4 a pop! (Plus I don't drink coffee)0

I use them pre-workout and they significantly improve my performance. It's not good for your heart though because it increases your heart rate. If you have heart problems, it is not recommended to take them.0
