I have a terrible weight situation. One wrong move and I can gain or lose a lot. Over the last year, I went through a bad breakup, couldn't get myself to eat anything dropped 15 pounds. Found a new guy, was tired of living my crappy life, started going to the movies, dinner, etc. and gained a lot more weight than I had expected. I'm on here because I am a student and need a cheap way of keeping track of things, while getting some motivation. I am also a student, my schedule is all over the place. I never go to bed at the same time, wake up at the same time, eat regularly...everything has just gotten crazy. My weight, my life, my motivation, it has all gotten out of hand.

If you are in a similar boat leave a comment, add me as a friend, let me know your story :)

Forgot to mention, my life got harder when I found out I was intolerant to gluten and dairy...really limits the amount of choices you have, plus gluten and dairy free products are often a lot higher in calories, fat, etc. Let's just say, my weight is not the result of eating fast food and junk...sometimes are out of my control...but I am making the first steps in getting back the control.

Ditto; when I was a student chasing deadlines and dealing with final year stress its so easy for the weight to pile on! I graduated in Psychology which broadened my horizon with eating, anxiety, stress and overcompensation. Although I specialise in medicine sometimes its good to vent or just moan about every day life stressors.

Feel free to add me as a friend :-)

It's definitely hard to live balanced as a student! I'm in vet school, and our class hours are insane, plus homework time...! I manage to eat pretty healthy because my boyfriend is a health fiend so he keeps me on track, but I have problems squeezing in time to work out and sleep - that's definitely what gets sacrificed first.

Is dairy and gluten-free similar to paleo? We sort of do a quasi-paleo at home... basically we just don't eat much pasta, rice, bread, or potatoes. It's been easier than I thought, most nights for dinner we have a green smoothie to get in our veggies, plus a high-protein main dish.

I gained about 70lbs between my last year of high school and my last year of university. It's too easy to eat junk all the time, especially on campus. And, as a fellow Canadian, I am all to aware of how easy it is to spend 6 months of the year inside away from the snow hahaha. Add me if you'd like :)
