You have the Rockets, Astros and the up and coming Texans. The Rockets did win 2 in the 90's and the Astros went to the WS in 2005. There's so much to do here though I think people dont pay much attention till football season.

I know Philly has had some great teams, a WS victory, trips to the playoffs in hockey, etc..., but their fans always seem miserable.

I don't think that people who aren't from here can really understand it. And we like it that way:-)

Nothing like Broad Street after a championship.

I will give you guys credit though, you did throw bags of cash at JD Drew when he came back as an opponent, I will say that is one of the best heckling I have seen fans do to an opposing player.

I know. We truly love our sports. But if our teams don't win or if you are sloppy, we will boo you cause we expect more of you! It's out of love!

Not gonna lie...Buffalo may not have won a championship in football or hockey but we are not miserable. We have more fun at our sporting events than people think AND to top it off...we have a great lacrosse team that has won championships! A Drinking town with a Sports Problem...how can you be miserable? lol

If we're talking football, Seattle should be #2. Otherwise, we've got a great WNBA team, our soccer team is good, and okay, we suck because of the Mariners, too.

Can I just say (now that I looked at the link) that it is total b^ll$hit that a woman's professional team didn't even make the grade and we're still getting Sonics flak. How long have we been without a basketball team? CRAP.

technically not a city. haha but it should be up there. i mean for gods sakes, they are "forbidding" phillies fans from buying tickets to the nationals-phillies game right now to keep phillies fans out of their ballpark. hahahaha

With the state of the Skins, Caps, Wizards (Bullets) and Nats, what good teams are there? TC Williams?

Agree! I happily boo sloppy play. we know you can do better!!! And when I lived in Pasadena, I went up to the Rai-duhs/Iggs game. sat at the top. we had a fun time with the fans, but yeah, no way I would have gone down to the Black Hole hahaha. I was living there when the Phils won and I flew home for the parade- lucky game 5 got rain-interrupted though, I flew back the day of game 5.5 and I got to see them win when I was home  so worth it!!

sweet! I was kind of at the parade. i was stuck in a PATCO station but got up to street level after the floats went by. then walked with the sea of red to 8th and market- to the models at the galleria.

  • Not true, we (Bengals) made the Wild Card this year. I kid, I kid. I still love my Reds though.

I grew up in Seattle, now live just outside DC, so I know all about bad sports teams! I have adopted my guys teams....Eagles, Flyers, Phillies and 76-ers. Going to the Caps/Flyers game on Sunday, should be good!

Where's Charlotte on the list? Panthers only had one win 2 years ago & let's not EVEN get started on the Bobcats. We don't even have a baseball team.

Well i can tell you who its not....Pittsburgh!!!!!
  • The booing Santa, or throwing snowballs at Santa, or whatever the story is this week about what Philly fans did to Santa, is an often overbeaten and misunderstood dead horse. The man dressed as Santa came out on to the field and was visibly drunk, so the fans let him hear it.

I was also at the Phils parade in 2008. 2.5 million people packed two stadiums and all of Broad Street. What a great time that was!
