Little Victories... No Pics

I have to keep reminding myself of the little victories. When my profile picture was taken of my daughter and I, I was a 280 something pound, pack a day smoker, drank several beers/mixed drinks most nights, and rarely exercised. A bag of Doritos, Cheetos, or a pint of Ben and Jerry's FroYo (my attempt at light eating) didn't stand a chance.

Now I am 258 pounds, workout 6 days a week, rarely go over my calories, drink a couple of times a week, nonsmoker, and I couldn't be happier. The me from 6 months ago would be incredibly proud and astonished by the me of today.

  • Great that you're losing weight and doing lots of other things to improve your health! Keep up the good work - you're little girl must be so proud! As is your MFP community. HIGH FIVE TO THAT!
