Where do you see yourself when you meet goal?

I am pretty far away from my goal, but I've made some good progress. One thing I learned from my journey's in weight loss is visualization. Some people call it daydreaming, but visualizing sounds more profound.
Reading through the success stories has helped me see the goal differently. I don't just think of the number on the scale anymore. The success stories aren't always people who've met goal, its about their progress. I see their before and after picture, some I don't even know how they recognize themselves in the mirror. NSVs (non scale victory) of riding an amusement ride with their kids, seeing their feet while standing for the first time in 10 years, getting off their medications and running in a 10K.
Of course I visualized what I think I would look like at goal. I visualized someone sweaty, lord knows I'll have to workout to maintain. I visualized tank tops that show my arms, glowing skin (less make up) and shorter hair that I can't hide behind in pictures.
I thought about my son and husband cheering me on at a 5K. Activities with my family like going to the beach, roller blading, ice skating and being able to ride the train with my son next to me.
This is what I am working towards, making happy memories with a healthier me. I'll meet you at the finish line
So now its your turn... where do you see yourself when you meet goal?

I see myself not limited to only plus sized stores to buy clothes. I see myself doing the spring & fall hiking sprees at the metroparks, and not being afraid to do anything rated higher than a 2 trail. I see myself going to a concert and being able to walk from wherever we choose to park the car to the concert venue & not feeling like I'm going to fall over & die (that was my personal 'enough is enough' eye opening point last summer) I see myself going to an amusement park and being able to ride anything I want to ride0

My target is based on two direction if i meet my goal to achive 12% body fat(i'm 28% currently) then i'll travel to hawaii or mexico depending on budget and availability. If i meet my goal to be 150lbs the I'll have an Asian tour. And then, i'll pick up another hobby/skill to divert myself from excessive eating and workout monitoring. Maybe enroll in an IT course to enhance my skill.0

i see myself shopping with family or friends, and not having to hide my size from them.
i see myself no longer feeling like i take up the most space in the car or in a room.
i see myself, wearing whatever i want and not having to limit my choices to dark 'slimming' clothes and cuts.
i see myself in a swimsuit for the first time in 10 years and looking beautiful.
i see myself being referred to by my friends as the "fit one."0 -
Probably having the confidence that I could achieve other goals.0

I think this is a great topic.
Personally I might not be at my goal "wt" but I've already achieved many things along my journey that I never thought were possible, so I know to set my goals high!
I would like to complete a triathlon...not an iron man but something along those lines.
I would like to get my kayak guide course and work part time doing that in the summer and fall.
I would like to have a flat stomach..for me that will come at the expense of plastics but one day I can envision that.
I would really like to be a mom. What ever form that comes in for me...adoption or pregnancy. I started this journey to get healthy to be able to have my own family...even with out a partner yet..I still keep that dream alive for myself.
I just want a life where I never had to worry about bumping into people with my fat *kitten* any more lol..and I have that. Everything else is icing on the cake and that is the icing I prefer now!0 -
I think this is a great topic too!:smooched:
October 2012: I see myself driving down the Southern California coastline with my handsome Marine SO; stopping along the way to test the water and not being ashamed of my body in a bathing suit.0 -
What I dream about is being like a friend of mine. She is older than me, but confident to try anything. She takes her two sons skiing, snowboarding, water skiing, rock climbing, surfing & she has never done these things before! She goes dancing with her friends & girls much younger than her & always looks so comfortable in her self & happy. I want to have her energy & not feel self conscious to try new things. If I look in my magic mirror I see my happiest face, a strong lean body, that is still feminine & curvy, but strong. I hope to tell my daughter that we're going to try surfing this weekend or go skiing & I want her to be proud of me & want to be just like me. If anything happened to me I would hope that my body was healthy & strong to cope & keep me safe so I can life a long happy life.0

I think about wearing my bikini again, and short shorts. Doing a run every few months and training for them. Being able to keep up running with my guy friends. getting more compliments on how ridiculous my chest to waist ratio is0

I am a big believer in visualizing myself at my goal weight while I workout or do things. When I feel like doing really bad, I try to picture myself. I think its a huge tool with weight loss.
I always picture myself running on the treadmill with a sports bra and shorts on. Tan, with no fears, and no self consciousness going on. I can't wait for that day!0 -

I can definitely relate to these ones as well!0 -
i see myself in skinny jeans!0

I visualize myself in cute mom clothes and not fat mom clothes! I visualize myself being able to ride roller coasters with my kids without worrying about if I will fit. I visualize myself being able to keep up with my kids and the generations to come without having to sit and rest because my ankle hurts! I visualize myself being able to shop in any store I want!0

This is my motivation: http://5kfoamfest.com/location-cali.php
The foam fest is a 5K run, that looks like so much fun. I don't want to be the chubby fat girl on wipe out and then gets uploaded to youtube and goes viral and then someone puts music to it .. Like Queens Fat bottom Girls.
Plus it has a count down timer on the page and it puts pressure on me to meet my goal0
