I have made a commitment to drink no more energy drinks EVER & less diet soda. However, sometimes during the early afternoon hours I find that I am often tired and in need of some form of an energy boost. I am trying to avoid my old standby of grabbing one of the above mentioned beverages for a quick & very often temporary boost. are there any foods and/or natural beverages that can help? all suggestions are welcome, as I am a caffeine & sugar addict who is desperately trying to kick the habit. Thanks

  • Get you a a nice pre workout supplement like NO Explode or Jacked 3D . Im not saying they are good for you, but they will lift you up and have much less calories than diet soda or energy drinks, plus they do not have aspartame in them.
  • You could try maybe B12 vitamins or MIO energy drink enchancer.

Caffeinated tea - either hot or iced depending on your preference. If you like sweet, look for something like cranberry or vanilla flavored green/black tea, which is sweeter without calories.

How much water do you drink in a day?

I have been told chia seeds have the same amount of b vitamins that 5 hour energy does but are natural and full of fiber/low calorie.
  • I'm probably not drinking enough water. would increasing my water intake help? if so, how much should I aim for in a day?
  • Try adding a dry drink mix to your water, like Crystal Lite or the generic variety.
