Ah, the dreaded PT test...

So after just shy of 90 days on "the program" I've passed my PT test. We have a good program in my unit that seems to work well. Heck, my runtime was 4 sec faster than an previous runtime in the last 5 years.

29 years old (30 on Aug 1)
11:54 1.5 mile run
38.5 inch waist (down from a 41)
57 pushups
40 crunches

(For those of you not familiar, the latest and greatest focus of todays Air Force is fitness. If you do not meet the requirements they harp on you for 90 days and test you again.)

    Nice work!

This sounds like something we need in schools ... they have the fitness test but not a program that helps you pass it in the event you don't do well.

hahahaha, thats what I love about the Army. They were hurting so much for recruits, they waivered PT failures for all the schools and promotions. Now they are clamping back down again.

of course, I'm in the Reserves. We don't even know how to spell "PT".

Hey that's great! I am also in the AF and definitely dread the PT test. I'm having a hard time buckling down and getting serious with a dedicated workout schedule and diet (wt loss ALWAYS garantee's a better score) And with my husband getting ready to leave for 6 months I have to get to it and start making it my routine. Just went back and forth with him tonight about trying Nutrisystem and decided I'd safe my money and make a better effort. cross your fingers here goes nothing....
  • I'm in the Navy and dread the PT test at the end of the month.. I hate the way measure women...I am short so I can't weigh much..lol.. So I am working out twice a day and eating light (watching calories and fat).. Drinking more water then I did even in Afghanistan.. Good luck to all.. I have 6 more lbs to go... or 1" off waist and 1" off hips..
