i seriously feel like I have a food hangover! I had family visiting yesterday, so we went out to eat- had a chicken sandwich- no bun, asked for no mayo but it came on it... And the chicken I thought was going to be grilled was fried. And a side of French fries. At least I stuck to water and skipped dessert. Ff to dinner... Stuck w water again... Shared guacamole and chips, stuffed salmon w veg only for dinner. 2 bites of choc cake.

I have been eating so well for the past few days yesterday really threw me for a loop! Ok, back to my regular eating. Ahhh, I love being in my own house where I can control my meals and portions.

A fried chicken patty, fries, guacamole and chips, stuffed salmon, vegetables. What exactly was the problem here?

and don't be surprised if your minor lapse (this was not anything close to a binge, IMO) triggers cravings for a couple of days--that's what happens with me. But you're back on track, and that's what really matters in the end. One off day every few weeks really isn't going to hurt you unless you allow feeling guilty to overwhelm you. Drink lots of water today and get in some extra cardio if you can, and enjoy having control of your own kitchen!

What does this even mean? You couldn't control the fact that you ate french fries? You couldn't control your portion size? You couldn't have ASKED for grilled chicken, or sent it back when it wasn't what you wanted? You control what goes in your mouth, ALWAYS.

I have a hard time making smart choices when eating out. Something I am trying to work on. Thanks for your support.

And I should have sent the chicken back, but it was my fault for not asking questions on how the chicken was prepared. Live and learn I suppose.

Thank you... If I listed everything on the plate of the stuffed salmon I can only imagine the calorie, sugar, etc! Water will be my friend today! Now to be good throughout the weekend!

I had a similar experience at Bahama Breeze. I ordered the lighter portion of jerk chicken with pineapple salsa and grilled with green beans. Thought I'd resist the sweet potato mash, but it was too good. Later I found out that meal alone was about 780 calories! You never know how much oil and butter they put in these recipes. But, you're right, you live and learn. Next time I'll pay more attention and ask more questions.
