Altered a recipe today that I used to make before I was counting calories... it was SO good

I made:

2 ounces of whole wheat rotini pasta (Barilla brand) (200 calories)
*side note: I measure out 2 ounces w/ my kitchen scale- was more than I expected
1/2 cup of Del-Monte canned petite diced cut tomatoes with garlic and olive oil (40 calories)
2 tbsp grated parm. cheese (43 calories)
garlic powder to taste
minced garlic to taste
oregano
italian seasoning
(I used to make it with about a half cup of olive oil, too- skipped it this time and it was much lower in calories and just as tasty!)

283 calories total- still have some left over for a side salad, vegetable, or in my case... granny smith apple.

Just thought I'd share! :flowerforyou:

You're welcome! In my opinion, the parm. cheese is what makes it really good  I hope you all enjoy it as much as I do. My boyfriend hates tomatoes and even he loves it!
