    This is soo cool!

    I think somewhere in the time you put on the weight, you BOTH forgot about the "sexiness" that you saw in each other. Now that you are losing weight for yourself AND your family, he is seeing the progress and the hard work you are putting into this.

    He's seeing the sexy you again! The more you lose, the MORE the two of you can enjoy your marriage and life together and the MORE things you can DO together!

    Congratulations on your AWESOME NSV!! Keep up the hard work lady, you are TOTALLY worth it!!

    So sweet... I'm glad that he is being supportive and encouraging your children to recognize your efforts.

    My husband is wonderful too. Never complained about my weight (which I gained with each of 5 pregnancies - and it took time for it to come off each time). He is always supportive, saying that I'm beautiful. But, I notice that he is really appreciating my efforts to get us healthier. He said although he is not losing weight like I am, he feels much better - has more energy and doesn't feel like he is swollen from water retention. I'm watching my sodium (which means - he is too)... I've been cooking and giving him left-overs for lunch. It is also saving us money - not having to buy take-out every day for lunch.

    This is not just about us, it makes a difference for our families as well.

    Oh my goodness is it bad that that made me tear up a bit? I don't know you or your husband, but you have certainly found an amazing man.
    It's so nice to hear when the male in the relationship is supportive like this. We all know how most men are visual creatures, so when they put that aside because they truly love us, it makes it that much sweeter.
    SO happy for you!! And keep up the good work!! (The way I see it, good men deserve to have a woman looking her best - that's part of my motivation. My boyfriend is some kind of angel - I didn't think they made men like that anymore haha)

    That is so amazing! Good to know there are men like that out there. What a beautiful family you have- you are truly blessed among women- not many ladies can say the same. I hope I marry that type of man someday!

    My husband and I have been married for many, many, MANY years...he's always been so good to me, always. Even as my weight ballooned up and up and UP over the years (after we started having children late in life), he's never criticized nor really complained about my looks and always brought home my favorites chocolates, goodies and all kinds of fattening treats for me, because he knew I loved them. He's (of course) still almost the exact same slim and trim size and as handsome as when we were in High School, and looks even better now then he did way back when. Even though he's my husband, I've always called him my "boyfriend" too.

    Well, things are changing in him, something fabulous these days of my shrinking. He's telling me things that he NEVER has before, although he never complained about my weight, he never really verbally expressed himself the way he's been doing everyday now. He's now telling me things that are so tender and encouraging and romantic. He's really acting like the childhood sweetheart that he was many moons ago, and it's mind blowing and sooooo terrific. He and the family have totally forsaken the ways of our past S.A.D. Diet (Standard American Diet) and are eating healthy and going along with tasting, eating and drinking the "weird" stuff I am. He's no longer bringing home "baddies/so-called goodies" and treats anymore and is now bringing home my new love goodies (Organic fruits and veggies and healthy stuff for me and HIM and the kids)!!!!!

    I heard him tell the children last night, (I went to bed while they watched a movie) "mommy's on a mission and we all have to do everything in our power to help mom out more and more around here and make her life easier so that she can concentrate more on what's she's doing and to keep her happy as we can and at peace because SHE"S REALLY LOOKING GOOD".

    WHAT?????? Even though I've been I call my husband my boyfriend for years, he's really more and more turning into my boyfriend and I LOVE IT!!!! Wow, this lifestyle change is bringing in tremendous benefit, far more than kicking ugly excess pounds and inches to the pit where they belong, but also PEACE and LOVE is coming right along with it--WOA, that's a super duper NSV for and to me.

    Thankyou very much for sharing....I too have been feeling the same thing too lately..my husband has never complained about my weight gain at all in the 13 years that we've been together..mind you i was a size 1 when we first started dating....but he's stuck by my side the whole way through......but now that i've been losing all the weight, i feel secure and he's been showing me a lot of attention too......Life is good

    but really, such a beautiful story and may you guys continue on this road of happiness and healthy lifestyle...

    You have a great! "boyfriend" I'm glad you have him in your life, cause I know so many women who complain about their man and stuff. I have my complaints for my husband too, but I'm lucky like you and my husband is my high school sweetheart, and even though we've been married almost 8 years, every still says we act like boyfriend and girlfriends. He is praising me and getting me the things he knows I love. Even when I was a size 20 he knew once complained about my weight, Now that I'm a 16 and he knows I'm trying to seriously lose weight. He encourages me and just the other day he put his arm around me in bed, to cuddle and he said he could feel that I'm lose weight. That's the best feeling in the world right there! Like your man, he also swapped my old old favorite sweets, for my new favorite "healthy" snacks. I'm glad someone else is as blessed as me. I let this post get too long. Sorry bout that

    I'm so happy for you! This is great motivation for you to just keep going! I'm lucky enough to have a hubby like yours. and although we dont have children yet, we are really looking forward to it no matter how much weight i gain I know he will love me the same if not more!...

    I have a very similar experience with my hubby. He has always been loving and affectionate, never complained about my weight, but now that I've gotten lean, the things that he says to me just make me melt! Not only has my increased fitness put a twinkle in his eye, but it has spurred him to start working out as well. All this extra energy between the two of us=more sparks than ever before! Wowza.
