I am looking for suggestions for cardio exercises for someone, me in particular, with a bout of gout in the knee. I have found it hard to exercise when I have a bout of gout in my right knee. I can do bench weights and crunches etc, but I really want to be able get my heart rate up.
I can get on the grinder at my gym but don't have easy access to a pool.
Any suggestions welcome.
Thanks

Bicycle and elliptical would have the least impact, but I would join a gym with a pool if you have a lot of problems with your knee.0

Elliptical is fabulous!! Another option a mini trampoline? I have horrible knees too, everyday is a struggle. I find that these take some of the pressure off of my knees but I can still get my heart rate up. Have you tried Cherries for Gout?0

Try a spin bike, easy on knees , will get your heartrate up and burn alot of calories.

I have tendonitis flare ups - Pool for straight up swimming, or if I can make the schedule, water or deep-water aerobics.
Second to this is bicycling, but depending on how your knee is, this might still cause some irritation. My brother has rotten knees, and he's able to bike a bit, where it doesn't involve standing up in the pedals, so it might work for you.0
