Tired of Being mistaken......

I feel the need to vent here and not to my blog. I want people to read how i am feeling and give me advice on if they've been in my position before. I have been mistaken NUMEROUS times of being pregnant, JUST because my stomach sticks out a little, kinda like if someone were 3-4 months pregnant. Somehow all the weight i gain goes into my stomach and no where else. It makes me very self conscious on wearing smaller shirts. All the shirts i own are a little baggier than my body type and I hate it. I wanna be able to go out and buy nice stuff to wear for my boyfriend instead of having to worry about it not fitting. Has anyone been in my position before and what did you do to ignore all those comments? They are very hurtful to me and I sometimes wanna cry about it..

I'm really sorry you have had that experience. Honestly, I have never had someone ask me that. I gain weight pretty evenly but I have heard that other people have had that experience and how hurtful it is. The only thing I can suggest is to eat healthy and get in the gym. You also may want to look into whether you have food intolerances like gluten or dairy. If you do, it can make you bloat and gain weight in the middle section. Just a thought.0

How would i be able to check that stuff without going to a doctor? its like all my weight goes to the middle or to "my girls" (which i dont mind and neither does my bf hahaha) and i THOUGHT i weighed like 137-140, but i got on a scale and it said 145, I felt like such a failure. but i cant blame anyone else, i recently quit smoking and figured a LIL weight gain was gonna happen.0

@ kleighsamboer your comment made me feel a little better. My boyfriend and friends tell me im not fat, etc. but when i can force my stomach out and PRETEND im preggo, its pretty sad. I NEVER looked like that in high school. I worked at wendys for 2 years and got my food half off..i was in college and worked right across the street from my school lol.0

I've never had someone think I was pregnant, but most of my weight also goes to my midsection. For clothing choices, try to find some more specified for your body. Getting higher rise jeans (although they look awful if you can see all the way to the top of em, but my shirts are always long enough to cover it & they hold in my stomach) Get shirts that skim over your stomach area. Cardigans are always good for covering up the stomach area too. Clothes can make a huge difference. If the stuff you want to wear for your boyfriend is a little more sexy...wear bras & undies that will get the attention....It will draw attention away from your midsection. Also, fake tans are great for looking slimmer (Im a ginger, I'm obviously super white) Jergens Natural Glow is great.
With good nutrition & exercise (& lots of water!) you'll make progress0 -

If you want it to stop, you either wear clothes that cover it up, or you do what it takes to reduce the body fat.

I would simply suggest cutting those things out and see if you start feeling better and if you start losing some weight. if you don't notice a difference after a couple weeks then is probably isn't gluten or dairy. if you are going to try it really give it a go and stay off of it completely for a couple weeks.0
