Calorie intake

Guys, when I exercise, I know I need to eat more calories than usual, but how many more do I need? It seems like if I eat as much as some of you say I need to, I'll just gain weight. Help?

Set your weight loss goal in mfp
Log your food and exersizes ~ I usually use the calories the machine gives me since they are lower than mf numbers

I thought the point of the calorie goal was to stay below it, like it's your max but you weren't really supposed to MEET it??
