Going to the gym when ill.

Hi, I only just started going to the gym last week. Monday, Tues and Wed were fine and I really enjoyed it. Wed evening I started to feel really ill and so skipped the rest of the week. I had a bad cold and awful headache on the Thursday. Anyway now my cold has almost gone but I am left with a bad chesty cough. I really want to go back to the gym tomorrow. Any advice and do you still work out if you are unwell?

    I wouldn't go - your body needs to rest and recover. You might not get a great work out and you could hinder your recuperation.

    Stay home. Your body is telling you to rest. Plus, you do not want people at the gym to catch what you have.
