Just wondering what all your thoughts are on eating baby carrots and hummus for evening snack say around 8ish. Also, what does everyone else have for evening snack :)

That's a great evening snack! I tend to gravitate towards cereal and milk for the carbs. Nothing to sugary... usually a bowl of Special K with fat free milk. I sleep like a baby...

carrots and other veggie 'snacks' should be fine or rice cakes, kallo are a good brand
i sometimes have cashews/apricots, cranberries, just a handful
i've had to wean myself off chocolate, very hard!! but necessary and only have it once a week, v v difficult but do able i am sure!
i LOVE nakd bars, from natural balance foods, v yummy and no hidden 'nasties'
  • I eat dark chocolate every night. It is always organic and 70% or higher. That is the only "junky" food I eat. I save some calories so I can have it as my daily treat.

I'm about to have a brownie (low calorie recipe I found on here) and a low calorie caramel hot chocolate drink. It's 9:35pm here, I'm not hugely hungry but I'm in the mood for something chocolatey and there's no sugar in it so it won't keep me awake (I hope!).

If I'm just snacky I have frozen raspberries, or apple slices, or a few crackers. If I'm hungry I go for a bowl of cereal with fruit.

    My favorites are:

Sandwich of Plain lightly salted rice cakes, 1T layer of peanut butter and 1 T of simply fruit spread
A Vitalicious muffin or vita-top - I bake mine w 1/4 cup chopped healthy nuts and 1/4c diced fruit per mix
A Mixed serving of banana and orange segments or banana and blueberries

I eat most of my calories late at night as I am always more hungry then. The time you eat has nothing to do with anything. Feel free to look at my diary, as it is quite literally loaded with evening snacks!
