today was my sons bday party, we had a few of his friends and some of his cousins there, my niece is outspoken and i love her dearly but what she said made me laugh and cringe at the same time, she looks me in the eye and says "no offence, but you look skinnier" i had to try my best to not laugh out loud at that, like id be offended, i know she meant, hey no offence you were fat and now you are skinnier but they way she said it made me giggle

    People noticing is always the best. My issue is I don't hide the fact that I'm working my butt off to get in shape, so the people around me occasionally mention I look skinnier, but it's really the people who don't know and say something that really makes the big impact.

    i agree, i hadnt seen this part of my my family since christmas, since then im down 14 pounds, its nice to have people notice but it will be awesome along the way, mainly because i feel so much healthier, gw 135 starting at 211, cant wait to get there :)

    I agree. I have a hard time not telling people I am eating right and running like a mad woman. Because of this most people say "Your looking great!" on occasion. I am excited to go back home in 4 weeks and see if anyone who doesn't know, can tell a difference.

    And to the OP (original poster)

    Aint' nothin' like an honest child! She said what lots of people in the room were thinking too but did not have the courage to say "You look great!"

    Keep up the good work...seems to only get easier from here :flowerforyou:

    yeah lol, id much prefer the "hey you look skinny" to "OMG, what the hey happened to you, you're fat" lol
