Q about logging walks with buggy

I've so far logged my walks as just 'walking' at whichever speed I went. Found today, that there's an activity called 'pushing or pulling stroller with child'
Do I add that on to my walking? I'm walking almost an hour most days, the area I live in isn't flat, so plenty of inclines etc and I've a double buggy with two kids in it to push. Does this mean I can add those on or what does one do in this case? Because ONLY the pushing the stroller calories are certainly not what I think they should be.

just had a look .I was wondering about that as I push my two yeaqr old on wlks in stroller it says 111 cals for 40 min walk so would we add thias as well as walking as walking is 147 cals so maybe add both0

when i walk by myself i burn about 200 cal for an hour so i would think you would add them both. That sounds more like it to me.0

Personally I just log whatever speed I was walking at and forget about the pushchair, at least then you know you probably burned additional calories, rather that it saying you have burned more than you actually have. I think you are only supposed to log one or the other so I log the speed, as the one with the pushchair could be calculated as just strolling whereas I still walk briskly with it.0

I bought a really inexpensive HRM to be sure that I'm accurately counting my calories burned. I haven't used it with my stroller yet, so I'm not sure how that will affect calculations.0

When I'm doing my walks I just log the speed and ignore the pushchair. I'm guessing my food calories may be underestimated so hope it evens out. If I just go shopping so am pushing the buggy or a shopping trolley with the kids in then I just log the time against "pushing stroller with child" option. I never thought they may be intended to log both together!0

My street is a slight incline about 600m- I burn (using a hrm) about 10 cals more when pushing my single pram with m 31/2 yr old!0

When I walk the dog with my 3 year old who needs to stop at every tree to see if there are fairies I log it as slow, even if I am also pushing baby in the buggy. But when I only have the baby I log it as faster, and if she is in the baby-rucksack I log that! Confused? Clear as mud! Only you know how fast you are going and how strenuous you are. If you know the distance you can calculate the speed. You could perhaps do your usual walk twice if you are going slow? As long as you are consistent in how you measure, it should be ok! All the measurements in the database are just estimates and not to be taken as completely accurate. Good luck!0

Thanks for the replies! I've decided to just forget about the 'pushchair' cals and only log the walk/mph - did 66mins at 4mp/h pushing double buggy this morning and think the cals mfp gave for that are okay. Like was said - least there are more I used without the temptation of eating them back...
Perhaps I should invest in a hrm sometime. They're just really expensive so will have to put that on hold for another time.0
