Pounds lost outside MFP

Just wondering do people include the weight lost before you joined MFP on their tickers or just weight lost since you joined this site ?

I lost 17 lb in the months before I joined MFP and wondered whether to change my ticker to reflect this, or is that cheating ?

I have lost 33.4 lbs with MFP OR 50.6 lbs including weight lost earlier. Still have the same weight to go regardless of course...a long way to go but just 6.5 lbs to my next intermediate goal. (which will take forever as I am on maintenance calories atm)

    I lost about 4 kilos before I joined MFP. I have not put them on here, I just remember that I have lost them. I guess it depends on how you feel. We know we have lost that weight, but will it motivate you if others can also see you have lost it? I don't care, but think about how you would feel if they were added. If it makes you feel even better, then add them.

    I lost 18 lbs before joining, I just remember them. I didnt add them. I wouldn't know how without screwing up my record-keeping.

    My weight is when I started MFP. Every so often on the weigh-ins, I comment on how much I've lost total since I started this journey.

    I added a "weigh in" to MFP for approximately when I started losing weight, and my weight then. You have to remember to put the date correct, otherwise it doesn't make sense. I like seeing the pounds I lost before I joined MFP.. I like seeing the total :)

    That is what I was thinking, I would like to see the full total of weight loss.
