I've personally never tried it. I'm too cheap and would rather get something not peddled by a "dealer".

BUT a friend of mine is a user/dealer and he has lost over 100 lbs. Not sure when he started but it was sometime last year. He loves it but then he is a dealer so he is also trying to sell it.

If you have the $$ for it then you should try it out. If not, just going into a GNC or other health store and they can help you pick out some products that are likely cheaper and just as good for you.

I tried it several years ago. At first, it was great - easy not to have to think about what to eat except for once a day, and the weight came off quickly. I could not sustain it though. The reliance on the liquid meals just got to me, and I needed something to chew! I also don't like sweet stuff that much, and got tired of it. I am much happier with a good food plan and lots of exercise. It feels much more like real life.

To me it seems like another supplement company selling meal replacements and vitamins while also telling you to eat a healthy diet.... and charging you alot for it. The design of alot of these vitamin and herbal supplements is to not only provide Micronutrients but also to incorporate 'natural diet suppressing' additives. Herbalife for instance, did incorporate some Ephedra based items in previous formulations, but had to remove them in 2002 once banned by the FDA. There have been 3 studies done on herbalife but the results are mixed. The specific quote I saw was "By and large, these studies do not provide convincing evidence that Herbalife products produce more weight loss than other products or than a proper placebo." ( wikipedia )

If it's in your budget I'd say try it. BUT I would try it for a month or two and record your results and then try your own experiment. Drop their supplement formula for a good whole food multivitamin and find a protein powder with a comparable nutrition profile ( I believe herbalife i soy based) and see if your results continue. In my opinion it's Much more about the proper diet.
I listed the 3 cited studies below in case you'd like to check them out. Hope this helps.

1.^ Flechtner-Mors, Marion; Boehm, Bernhard O.; Wittmann, Regina; Thoma, Ulrike; Ditschuneit, Herwig H. (2010). "Enhanced weight loss with protein-enriched meal replacements in subjects with the metabolic syndrome". Diabetes/Metabolism Research and Reviews 26 (5): 393. doi:10.1002/dmrr.1097.

2.^ The paper states only that diets were designed to deliver a total calorie intake of 500 calories less than the resting metabolic rate. The 50% reduction can be derived as follows. The resting metabolic rate of a typical study subject, a 49 year old woman with height 1.65 m, weight 100 kg, and BMI 36 is 1600 kcal/day. Her daily intake at low physical activity is about 2200 kcal/d. Her target intake was therefore 1600-500= 1100 kcal/d, 50% of her habitual intake. 3.^ Busetto, Luca; Marangon, Mariangela; De Stefano, Fabio (2011). "High-protein low-carbohydrate diets: What is the rationale?". Diabetes/Metabolism Research and Reviews 27 (3): 230. doi:10.1002/dmrr.1171.

Thanks for posting up on it guys,
My step mum was trying it, and she stopped taking it, but i know a handful of people that just have a shake and fruit for their breakfasts and use it to maintain weight but lose fat. sooo ive been taking it maybe a week or so and it is quite nice... i just cant decide on it!
