I have my daily calorie goal set to my BMR as based on what MFP BMR tool says it is.

Now my question - should my BMR goal number at the end of the day be my food intake number or my net intake number?? Does that make sense?

Basically, which of the following should things looks like each day?

1397 goal
1397 food
200 exercise
1197 net

Or

1397 goal
1597 food
200 exercise
1397 net

Thanks so much!!!! :)

If you want to eat at a deficit from your daily expenditure, but not go below your BMR, then the latter. You would be taking in your BMR of calories, but operating at a deficit from everything else you burn, including ordinary activity and exercise. The former, you would be taking in less than BMR...
