does anyone have any good home work outs for toning up? I was looking into P90X and ChaLean extreme any thoughts on those?

Thanks for the advice :flowerforyou:

I have tried both of these and they are really good! When it comes to lifting weights, the two of them are VERY different... Chalene's technique for lifting is slow, where as Tony tends to lift faster. I would recommend starting with Chalene, (depending on your fitness level) as she is not as intense. Also, just a heads up, P90X workouts are all around the 1 hour time and Chalene is 35-45 minutes.

Thank you for the advice! I do work out already for almost 2 hours a day but if the 35-45 minutes is a good work out even better  I was kind of leaning in the Chalene direction and seeing what she can do for me. I have already done all her turbo jam DVDs plus all of Jillian Michaels and the Biggest loser stuff. Time to move on lol.

    Thank you again! Anyone else?

I like what you had to say in your profile about now that you're done having babies it's time to get your body back! I agree. We home school as well, and I workout at home. And we are also done having babies.
As far as my home work out, I use the treadmill, mostly. I also have a nordic track that I'll use sometimes, when I get tired of the treadmill. I am active with our kids, but I don't rely on that for my main calorie burning workout. (Although in the morning as I am in bed, the one side of me tries to convince me that I could get a 300 calorie burn from a walk around the block!)
I use dumbells at home for lifting.
You can see my exercise diary on my profile if you'd like to see what my workouts at home are like.
I have not done the 2 programs you mention. I've read one of Jillian Michaels books though and gleaned some exercises/info. from her. I have to remind myself that it will take time to build muscle and create that nice muscle tone and shape. But little by little it's building. It will for you too.
    Take care,
    Paige
