Hi everyone. So, I was wondering what people had to say about all of those boot camps out there. I just got a Groupon for Boot Camp and I was just curious if anyone had good results or bad results from the classes. Any advice will help!!

I just joined a gym and had my first bootcamp class last Saturday. I loved every painful second of it :-) and I will be doing it next saturday as well :-)

I have done Boot Camps and really enjoyed them. I like the combination of strength and cardio bursts. Hard as hell, but I definitely saw results.

I'm sure every gym instructor is different, but I love bootcamp. Exactly as the others explained, strength trainging with bursts of cardio. It's killer. My only wish is my gym offered the class more than one day a week.
  • I did a 2 month boot camp that met 2 times a week at 5:30 AM and got great results! I toned up and lost about 8 lbs.

I have done them for the past 2 years, if you are not use to exercise; it will hurt the first couple of weeks, but worth it.

Love boot camp classes, so much fun. I have another workout class that I do three days a week but I do boot camp 1-2 days a week also.

There is a trainer by me who does free mommy bootcamp once a week.
I love it. I am always so sore the next day. I think bootcamps can be really great workouts.

I'm actually a bootcamp instructor and love teaching it/taking the class occasionally (depending on the instructor of course). My classes usually start w/ a 5-10 min warmup, thorough stretch, then a mix of interval training, tabata training, body resistance training as well as using weights, running, etc etc etc. The possibilities are endless!! Definitely do it!!

I am currently doing a boot camp at the YMCA and I love it. The nice thing is the trainer will push you to do things that you would have never thought to do by yourself and work muscles you forgot you had. It is a full body work out and so worth it. No pain no gain right? :)

Awesome! That really gives me a great insight of what I am to expect.

I enjoy going to boot camp. But just like anything else, what you get out of it is what you put into it. Give maximum effort both in and out of class and the results are quick coming.

I did a six week bootcamp twice a week and loved it. I had been exercising fairly regularly but that high intensity boot camp pushed me over the edge to really love fitness.
  • I joined a boot camp here on LI, NY. Very intense but helps you get motivated to working out and being healthy.
