Going over on (healthy) fat?

About two-three days out of seven, I might find myself going over anywhere from 1-15 on my fat intake. I know there are other threads on this topic, but most of them are about eating more processed foods. I eat very healthy fats only; avocado, edamame, some tofu or soymilk here and there, unrefined coconut oil, almond butter, etc. Frequently I need to eat something fat and calorie dense to hit my calorie goal for the day.

I'm just curious if this is a problem and something I should pay more attention to, or if it's really no big deal?

If you're losing weight and you're within your calories I wouldn't worry about it. Fats like that are super healthy for you, so I say its good. Your skin, nails and hair are probably very happy for it!

I do the same thing. At least 2 days a week (sometimes more) I go over on fats. I don't sweat it because it is usually from nuts, nut butters, olive oil, avocado, etc. I lost 30 pounds and reached my goal weight and have been maintaining, all while going over in fats regularly while staying within my calories.

I'm similar (I'm vegan) and I don't care about fat intake at all. I'm overweight now because I became insulin resistant a few years ago. Now that I'm treating that, diet and exercise are allowing me to lose the weight I gained. So, I'm concerned about foods that spike insulin production. And fat doesn't. I've had high fat days and still lost weight. Can't say the same about eating simple carb's. ;-)

Congratulations! And this is good to know. I figured it was no big deal, but also wanted to make sure. Thanks for the replies from everyone else as well!
