Is the calorie measurement for dry or cooked?

I got the Bobs Red Mill Gluten-Free Mighty Hot Cereal.
The back says Serving Size : 1/4cup, 150 calories.
This morning I made a 1/2cup in 1.5 cups water. It came out to about 2 cups cooked.
Are the 150 calories for the 1/4 cup dry, for a total of 300 calories? If so, that's an incredible amount of food (and i'm not complaining!)
Or do you think it's 1/4 cup cooked, meaning my breakfast was now 600 calories (not so awesome anymore.)

Typically the nutritional facts will tell you. For example, rice: 1/2 (dry) makes 1 cup cooked.
You best bet is to just measure dry and measure again once it's cooked. That's what I do, especially foods that are high in calories like whole grain rice & whole wheat pastas.0 -
Most likely it's for dry. I dont think I have ever seen a grain or pasta product that gave the calories for the cooked product instead of the dry. Also, 150 calories fro 1/4 cup of cooked cereal seems really high0
