Accuracy with cals burned

Just curious, how many people trust the numbers of cals burned from their heart rate monitors? I have been comparing the machines, MFP, and my HRM, and for the most part I trust the HRM. But it seems to have been giving me a high number lately. Today I actually burned more (according to HRM) then what the machine and MFP would say. Which would be the one to trust the most? I just don't want to over eat or under eat due to wrong numbers. Thanks!!

i trust mine to a certain extent, but i don't really eat back my calories according to what i think i burned so it doesn't really come into play.
i know if i burned approx 1000 calories and avg 70% of my max heart rate with my workout then that usually means i had a solid workout.

If there's a big discrepancy between my HRM and MFP or my treadmill I'll average them out. Today I used my treadmill and it reported 367 cal, my HRM 366....pretty close!

To be honest, I usually go with the LOWER of the two. That way, I'm sure not to "over do it" when eating. If I happened to have burned more, bonus for me!

    Good Luck!!!

Thanks a bunch guys!! I guess the "safe" thing would be to average them all out :P
