Hi everyone,
My third day of having cold and now I feel like it's about to move into my chest with congestion. (sorry, I know it's gross!)

So not only am I unable to workout since I can barely breathe, but I'm SO HUNGRY. Seriously, my tummy is growling like I haven't eaten in days! I've been a few points over my caloric goal the past 2 days, so I know I'm eating enough.

Anyone else experience this? Advice how to deal?
and anyone who can tell me why I'm so much hungrier gets a gold star for the day!

Thanks!

I am dealing with bronchitis right now and despite all the chest crap, I still am making myself run. It sucks while running, but afterwards I feel amazing and my energy gets to feeling "normal."

I'd find a way to keep exercising if you could and possibly look into some medicines. I've been taking guafenesin and pseudoephedrine in the mornings (maximum strength mucinex D generic) and it helps keep my sinuses clear and allows me to cough up the crap in my chest rather than it sitting their. Always check with your doc though if you have any medical conditions or other drugs you're taking.

Your immune system is working in high gear and your body is wanting feul. I've seen other posts about people feeling sick and eating more calories, I think its just the body's way of saying I'm working harder then usual right now to get rid of this gunk. Also, make sure your hydrated enough. Sick bodies like water :) Hope you feel better soon!

yup, take it easy, drink some extra water (if you're not already drinking a large amount). And go up to your maintenance calories till you feel better. soup, chicken soup. even from a can. GL and feel better :flowerforyou:
