I just got one this weekend (for free!!!) and I was wondering how to log the exercise? So far I used the general circuit training, I'm just not sure if that the best way to go. And before any one asks I do not have a HRM or the funds to go buy one. So any advice would be great! Thanks in advance

Sounds like general circuit training would be about right. Congrats on getting the equipment for free, that's great!

I've never used a total gym before, but it appears to be strength training to me.

if you type in lifting weights one thing pops up in the database, strength training under cardio exercises. for someone that weighs 186 lbs it says in 60 minutes you burn 253 calories

I would definitely log as strength training. We have a machine that is a lot like the Total Gym, and that is what I log it as.

I do love the infomercial for it, I watch it every Saturday morning before I workout, Chuck Norris goes from bearded to just mustached, it's awesome. And contrary to popular belief, he doesn't have a fist hiding in his beard that's always ready for action.
