So MFP told me that I am over my daily calorie limit today by 17 calories. However, my fitbit account says that I'm within my daily calorie range. I know 17 calories isn't a big deal.. I was just wondering which one I should pay more attention to if this happens again. If anyone has any insight, I'd be glad to hear it. Especially from any other fitbit users. Thanks!

I'm unfamiliar with fitbit, but I'm sure either is fine, as long as your are sticking to it. I wouldn't worry about it obviously. If you consider the traditional 3500 calories = 1 pound, 17 calories is less than 1 hundreth of a pound. You could probably burn that chewing gum haha.

Fitbit Ultra tracks your everyday steps, stairs climbed, calories burned, and more, and has an app etc. MFP has never been bad for me so keep to both :)

The truth is there is no way to get a perfect calorie count for food, or for exercise. (You can get metabolic testing - but who needs that?) Just pick one, and make that work. I use MFP for food, and my HRM for exercise. Then I enter in the equivalent for the exercise based on my HRM.

Your daily goal set by MFP is already a caloric deficit to your daily needs
so if your daily needs are 2000 and you want to lose a pound a week
it tells you your daily goal is 1500
it take 3500 calories burned to lose a pound (3500/7 days = 500 daily)
so in my opinion...going over by a few calories is fine...
assuming the foods you're consuming are good whole foods...

It doesnt really matter which one you chose just stick with that one all of the time.
