I stopped losing... help!

I've been on this journey since June of last year. I've lost a total of 53 lbs and I want to lose another 30. I quit eating things that are white. This means I gave up white flour, sugar, potatoes, and pasta.. I drastically cut down the amount of rice and sweet things I ate. I eventually quit drinking diet pop and cut down on even whole grains. I had begun walking when I started the diet because this is s lifestyle makeover for me, not a temporary fix.
I lost a bunch of weight and was feeling great. I started Zumba and joined MFP. The weight loss pretty much stopped. Since I've been on here I've lost 14 lbs I think... and it soen't seem like enough. I have it set at 1500 calories and I've been running and walking and doing Zumba... something nearly every day.
In January I read "Wheat Belly" and decided to give that a try. I haven't had much in the way of grains since the secnd week of January. I'm not having a problem sticking to that. I actually enjoy not eating grains, althogh truthfully i do envy the ease of making a sammy for lunch or toast for breakfast... but short term gain etc...
SO basically I have as non-processed a diet as I can do. I eat meat, not always the leanest... I eat veggies. I try to go low sodium and low carb. I have switched to decaf coffee and am usign coconut milk instead of milk. I am having a tough time eating 1500 calories a day though...
What can I do differently to get this started again? Help!

Hey geek, may be time for a nutritionist/trainer? I know you are a smart chicka but sometimes a body needs a kick in the *kitten*. Don't be tough on yourself. My Dr. always said to me 'look at how long it took you to gain the weight, now double the time to get rid of it'. Sounds crazy but it kinds makes sense. You are doing an amazing job at looking after yourself and being healthy. Enjoy your you now and the rest will follow Slow and steady wins the race.........love ya0

Hi Nicole it's your old MFP eddie I can see how you could be discouraged with all you have done. You have come a long way by what you have wrote great job it took lots of dedication. I have not hade that much problem with weight I have always been vary active, farming, mowing grass, cutting wood and etc my problem is keeping my arteries clear. I have herd a lot of people say the pounds coming off slows down after the first of the pounds are gone. Dont give up now you have worked to hard and come a long way. Maybe if you could get a partner and play some tennis I always thought that would be fun and it definetly keeps a person on the move. Maybe its time to change the game play again dive into something different. Anyway I wanted to wish you good luck getting to your goal will still be watching for you loginssee ya.0

You rock my sox donut! Thanks Eddie for the encouragement. But Donut -I am NOT waiting 30 years to get rid of it. (I figure it started when I had my first kid so...)
Thank you both. xo0 -
have you been measuring yourself, not just weighing? if you've added exercise, its possible you've been building muscle... also, make sure you have a few rest days here and there, to give your body time to catch up with the exercise...
if it's an antique scale, use some oil

Hi Nicole, I am a newbie to MFP and weight loss so I have done a lot of research. Experts say not to get discouraged if you stop losing weight. It could be your body is adjusting to its new shape. You will start losing again. Also like the previous responder, you could be building muscle which is heavier than fat. With that being said it is possible to actually gain a little weight. I didn't see any mention of fruit in your diet. There are a lot of benefits in eating fruit, especially pineapple. Don't give up now you have come soo far. Keep up the good work!0
