Saving calories for tomorrow? Does that work?

I'm going to be at a social event tomorrow where I know I will want to eat some not so healthy treats. Since watching what I eat is a lifestyle thing for me now, I want to give myself a LITTLE permission to enjoy some of them (I'll be choosy). I'm contemplating "saving" some exercise calories from today to use tomorrow. I know the MFP log won't reflect that, but I want to know if from a calorie standpoint that would work for tomorrow.
This is also helpful to know in case I have a day without exercise. If I know I'll be busy the next day, would it be profitable to exercise double (and not eat the second day's calories back until the next day)?
I know it wouldn't work to save calories for weeks since your metabolism would adjust to the lower calorie amount, but it seems like one day just might work.

I do it every week. I eat less on Friday because I know I will eat more on Sat. :-) You can also mentally cheat. Is the event at night? So mentally start your day at evening. OR, can you exercise more before to earn more calories? (I sometimes exercise more Sat. night knowing I ate more calories than I was supposed to.) I think over all it matters over the long term. If you are pigging out every day, your body will show it. If you indulge yourself once in a while, well then, you are staying on the right track. (I don't believe in denying yourself completely always.)0

I think it does. Tonight I have a holiday work party, so I've ate like 200-300 calories under my exercise calories all week, knowing I'd be going over calories today.0
