NSV but a bit sad

Last night I filled two garbage bags with clothes that are now to big and baggy. Many of those clothes are ones I just fit into at Christmas! My closet is getting emptier and emptier.

The sad part of it is that some of those clothes are ones I really looked forward to wearing when I lost enough weight, but I slid right by that size so fast I only wore them once or twice!

I guess I'll just have to go SHOPPING!!!

I have had that happen. you're torn because you feel great that you have gone down another size but sad because you feel like you
wasted money. What I have tried to do is try and buy new stuff on sale and not investing alot of money knowing I will be ditching them soon....especially pants - I find I go thru them more than tops...
congrats on the continue weight loss....you are doing great!

    *gasp* shopping - poor you!

Well done, I know from your pics that you have shifted a lot of weight.

I have bundled up my "fat" clothes and will get rid of them soon. Have purchased a few nice suits for work recently and I suspect I will grow out of these soon. The really good stuff I will have altered. I am currently on self imposed ban on new clothes until the end of the month as I have been enjoying my shopping trips too much.

I've started buying clothes in second hand shops whenever possible. I still have enough left to lose that I know if I reach my goal, I'll wear smaller sizes than I wear right now. Enjoy all the new things you will be getting.

i actually took a pic a year or so ago of me getting rid of my absolutely fav jeans.. they have been sewed up, patched, belted.. but finally just too big... i was so sad to see them go, however, it was nice to say that a size 16 was just way too big, i was in a 10/12.. i wanted to celebrate, but dang it , my favorite jeans?? :(..

Can't wait to get rid of "fat clothes" :-) I can definitely see how all the shopping could get expensive though. I like the clearance racks myself. :-)

Oh, I am a champion at clearance racks - wore a rockin blouse yesterday that my mom found for me for only $2! And one winter coat that I now swim in plus the one that still works were both $1 at Salvation Army (designer brand).

It is hard to shop right now because the things that my eyes say should fit are too big (darn, right?:noway: ) and if I buy something that fits now, it won't in two or three weeks (double darn  ), and why bring it home if it is just a bit too tight to wear now? The only exception is that size 10 dark gold one shouldered short dress that may or may not work as my Mother of the Groom dress in August. Kind of doesn't follow the 'Show up, shut up and wear beige' rule for MOGs.:glasses:

For the same above reasons, it is hard to figure out what to sew because I feel deeply for the fabrics I have and don't want to cut into one and make something that I have to get rid of before long!
